I've been here for a week now and things are a constant GO! GO! GO! I'm working at a place called Dealer Specialties of El Paso. I walk around car dealerships and inventory the cars. That involves writing down all of the information about the cars, taking pictures of them, printing out a label with the information and putting it all up on the internet. Myles started training me on Tuesday the 4th (After we pulled in late Monday night) and I think have done something for it every day except Sunday. It is not nearly as fun as my West Salem Jamba Job! However, I am beyond grateful that the Lord has seen fit for Myles and I to be financially set.
Work takes up most of my life but I do get the pleasure of being in institute. My class is really interesting! The course title is Latter-Day Saint Hymns. We are working through the Hymn book in sections, finding the themes and reading through the scriptures. We even get to sing through a lot of them and learn about the back ground of some too. I am really excited to learn more throughout the rest of the semester!
Myles is reffing lots of football and I'm starting to get bored at the many middle school games he works. At least I'm getting tan! Well, tan for a girl who comes from the green and grey's of the Willamette valley. Friday nights game was pretty exciting! The game in itself was intense but I was also thoroughly entertained by the lightning and thunder storms that were going on all around us. We pulled into the drive way late on Friday and Myles needed to be up by 7am Saturday for another set of games. I sent him to his bed quickly and soon he was back with chest pain and a numb arm. He took some pain killers and slept through the rest of the night. When he came into my room at 8 am, banging on stuff, flipping the light on, and making all sorts of noise I was extremely confused. Turns out his alarm never went off and he was running around grabbing all of the things he needed for his games. Being asleep before, it was quite the commotion if I do say so myself. Luckily he ended up being to his game on time. :)
I got up shortly after and started working on the blanket I'm redoing. It is my favorite one that mom made me and it was in great need of a redo. It's the first quilt I have ever bound so its kind of... well... not the best looking project, but I will be happy with it forever! I'm almost done with it now so I'll get a picture up as soon as I can.
All in all Myles and I are doing well. It's hot but we've been starting off our mornings with clouds and rain, so that definitely helps.
Until I find something else to write about! Bye bye!
Good post McKay!
