Finding Tender Mercies

The entry, compared to my last one will be boring! Things here at the Maxey pad are mellowing down big time. Myles still has symptoms from his concussion, but they are few. (If you're confused, read my last blog). All in all health is returning to the home and maybe someday my life will slow down that Ann wont have to do my laundry for me. It's nice of her to do it for me while I learn my new job and get Myles to his doctors appointments.

My job is extremely stressful for me at times, but I am learning to like it, and that is definitely a plus! I had an attitude check on Thursday. That is what happens when you go to institute. I realized that the only thing that can make me love it here in Cruces is me. I have to pick the things that I am going to like about it here, not the things I don't like in order to see it's beauty. Yes, it is flipping hot here all the time, but if you take a minute to look at the sky it's an amazing blue! A blue you don't usually see in good ol' Oregon! Another plus, even Myles admitted that I'm getting tan!

See? Everyone has them!
This may be just an observation but I really feel the need to comment on it. If you are from western Oregon, you don't use an umbrella. You just don't! If it's pouring outside you either don't go out, or tough up! Rain isn't going to melt you. Here, everyone has an umbrella! I mean, EVERYONE! Only here, it's not to keep the rain off, it's so that you don't die from the sun! I never thought I would have to purchase an umbrella... What has happened? This is crazy! Anyway, it just makes me laugh.

As far as wedding plans go, we're just waiting on a couple of things so that we can get the invites out. Got our information letters from the Temple this week! Kimber and Mom are working on decorations for Oregon, Ann is working on everything for here, I've still got a shoe dilemma when it comes to all the girls, I'm trying to stay my same size so that I can fit in my dress. ;) Good thing it's a lace up!

Myles is working at the boys home here in Cruces for his internship, doing his school work, rescuing me from my work when I get overwhelmed, reffing lots of football games, and continuing to improve.

As I have come to realize more and more each day, we are blessed! I know that the Lord sends us tender mercies everyday, and all we need to do is recognize how miraculous they are! So glad to have the support of my Family and that of Myles and his.

Thanks for reading! :)
